Christmas time is here again, WOW!!!

Hey everyone, it has been a long year. This is my favorite time of the year and I am blessed to be where the Lord has me in all areas of my life.

Project Worship is ending the year by visting a few of our favorite churches and venues. Friday December 5th, we will be in Murrietta at Mulligan's Family Fun Center for the Air 1 Faith Night.

We had a blast a few months back as Air 1 volunteers thanks to our wonderful brother in the Lord Fernando Chaidez. We Love you Hermano

Saturday December 6th we will be in Escondido at Maranatha Spanish Christian Church as we lead worship in Espanol for the Saturday evening service.

We are also ending the month at Calvary Chapel Chino Hills on December 21st with the Spanish Ministry and Pastor Ruben.

May you have a blessed holiday season and I look forward to meeting you at an event

Blessings, Robert

Music Notes

Music is powerful tool. Music can stir the heart of our emotions and cause us to feel things we didn't otherwise feel. Sad, happy, lost or found. Music is a powerful tool.

But worship music is powerful too. It can stir both the heart and the spirit of a man. It can fill our heart and spirit with words of truth, and speak to the deepest chambers of our soul.

Yes, music is a powerful tool.

I wonder what will worship be like in Heaven?

New Season with the PWB

Hey everyone,

Well it's become a routine that the Lord orchestrates a line up change on a yearly basis. So here we are in late 2008, the Lord has poured out new material which I hope to play at upcoming events. It also looks like we'll be going back to Orange Crush Studios in Orange County and recording the new material before Christmas.

We have some upcoming events to include this weekend (09-06-08) at River 47 in the city of Orange, and (09-27-08) for a concert in the park with Calvary Chapel Living Waters, in the city of Corona.

The Lord has pressed upon my heart through some quiet time and recent studies that we (You and I) need to prepare for a new season as "Salt and Light".

You can choose to be the salt in a wound or the salt who's life causes others to thirst for Christ. You can be light guiding the path to Christ for a lost and weary soul, or a blinding light that causes a headache for those around you...

We look forward to seeing, meeting, praying and most of all worshiping our amazing God with you at an upcoming event.

Be Blessed,

Robert

C28 Northridge

What an awesome weekend it was serving with the C28 Outreach Ministry . Jeanette has been shooting these concerts for the past year or more and we always have such a blessed time meeting the bands, making new friends, and witnessing hundreds come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
I also got to fellowship with my friends from Rallys For Christ and help Leonard out with any security issues, Leonard's the man, love you bro!

What blessed me most was to see Josh Schwartz, bass player of Seventh Day Slumber. It's been one year ago exactly since Jeanette shot his wedding and we got to wish him and his beautiful wife Amanda a Happy Anniversary. These guys are so humble and they can really hit home with their testimony and song writing.

Abel Zavala

In this post, we're doing a little blog catching up from a few months ago.

When our friend, Pastor Fausto, invited us to visit his fellowship at Calvary Chapel Pomona Gardens and to meet his guest, Abel Zavala, we were thrilled!

Abel has an incredible gift of writing beautiful spanish worship, and has produced many songs that have influenced Robert and the band to share their musical talent through his songs with the spanish community.

We are always welcomed with open arms by the church body at Pomona gardens. The youth are a joy to know and to watch grow in the Lord. They are the future leaders of the church, and what an active group they are!

In Memory of Christopher Laurie

I woke up this morning hoping it had all been a bad dream. But it wasn't .

Since yesterday, when I first heard the terrible news of Christopher's Laurie's death, my heart has been heavy . As a believer I have peace knowing that Christopher is in the presence of the Lord. But as a family and church body, together, we are broken for our Pastor, Greg Laurie, and his family.

Pastor Greg, Cathe, and family, we love you all and are praying for the Lord's comfort over your family at this time.

For more information regarding Christopher, you can visit the Harvest website HERE.
To leave a message of condolence visit Greg Laurie's blog HERE.

Air 1 Radio and Faith Night

It's great when we can get out and volunteer our time to other ministries when the band isn't scheduled to play on the weekend. So, when we realized we were coming out to the Quakes Stadium for "Faith Night" in Rancho Cucamonga to help our friends at Air 1 Radio in the Air1 booth, we were looking forward to it!

As a family, we seem to get out a lot, but this was our first time experiencing a live baseball game together. Our son, Isaiah, was probably the most excited since Dad gave him the ball after throwing out the FIRST pitch!

Later, Scott and Michelle joined us. But the best surprise for us was when Katie, our keyboard player, and her family joined us! Luke is there new little bundle of joy. I was so happy to see him attending his first baseball game too!

Baby Luke!

Whoo hoo! Congratulations to Tony and Katie on the new arrival of their firstborn baby! We are super excited for them and hope the best on their new journey as parents. As most of you may already know, Katie is our keyboard player and so we'll miss her while she is temporarily away from the band, we hope she'll be back next season ready to rock 'n' roll.

Be sure to visit Katie's BLOG HERE for more photos and details about their latest experiences!

Pure Worship Conference

We're so excited to send Robert this weekend to the Pure Worship Conference hosted by Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa featuring singer/songwriter, Phil Whickam. How cool is that? God is good.
Robert will have the opportunity to take classes on lead acoustic guitar and band rehearsal among other topics.

Robert, we pray that in this time God will continue to equip you and train you to be all that He has called you to be as a worship leader.

Harvest Singles

We were blessed to finally play in our home church for the Singles Ministry at Harvest Christian Fellowhip last Friday!

Pictured below: Edith, Scott, Heather, Robert, and Mondo.

The Singles are a fun group who we were happy to worship with and the sound in the big sanctuary was amazing. We were missing Katie on the keys, and Felix, our drummer...
But Scott was able to fill in for Felix, thanks Scott!
Mondo madness on the bass...more about him in a second.
This was a great night and we loved being here with our Harvest family.

In spite of a wonderful night...Mondo managed to get the tip of his plug broken off inside of his Line 6 Bass ampliflier. Poor Mondo, extra pan dulce for you next practice!
Scott, and his girlfriend Michelle, can always find humor in everything. We love them!
Michelle is trying to bring Brittany back...

I don't know who had more fun that night? But little Bella looks like she is having a BLAST!
Thank you Harvest for having us come out and fellowship with your group! Your all awesome!

777 Church

This season has opened many new doors to our ministry including the spirit filled body of 777 Church in San Bernardino, CA. Pastor TJ and his wife invited us to visit and lead Sunday morning worship recently. We soon realized that there is such a big need here after learning that Pastor TJ would lead acoustic worship first, then stand and also teach! Every Sunday.
Since then we have prayed with Pastor TJ and the Lord opened the door for members of Project Worship Band to commit to a three month service to Sunday morning worship with the wonderful people at the 777 Church. It has been such a blessing so far!
If you are interested in visiting and would like more information regarding a 777 church service CLICKHERE.

Join us this Sunday!

Pastor Eric

We share this with a heavy heart as we have just received notice of the passing of our dear friend and brother in the Lord, Pastor Eric Sorian of Calvary Chapel Creekside. Project Worship had the pleasure of visiting Pastor Eric and his church for Sunday morning worship services on several occasions.
Pastor Eric was one of the first Pastors to open his doors to our ministry. He always welcomed us with a friendly smile and encouraging words. He had an amazing passion for sharing the word of God as he always inspired us to pursue God's best in all things.

Pastor Eric,
Thank You for your love and support. We will miss you. I pray the Lord comforts the Sorian family and all the ministry families at Calvary Chapel Creekside.
In His Service,
Robert

Who is Project Worship?

Well, we are NOT a mariachi band but isn't this photo hilarious? Scott Kiley, our guitarist, sent this over awhile back and we just had to share it with all of you.
So, who is Project Worship? We are just a group of ordinary people hoping to live extraordinary lives for God, with the gifts and talents that he has given to each of us...oh, and we try to have a little fun while we're doing it.

Viva Mexico! Pan Dulce!

What is a blog?

Welcome to our new blog website! This blog will serve as our online photo journal to document all the things that God is doing in our lives as artists. We invite you to follow us, as we in turn follow the Lord's leading into various churches, events, ministries, and personal growths, as we worship God in spirit and in truth.
